 FT Vocational Training Specialist I

Connections is currently seeking a FT Vocational Training Specialist I.  This will be 36.25 hours per week, M-F 7 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.  The VTS I will assist with transporting clients to their employment sites, and will work with a group of four clients in a hotel setting.  Primary responsibilities will be supporting/assisting clients as needed to ensure all duties are completed according to site standards, providing personal care assistance as needed and supporting clients in developing vocational skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills.

FT Vocational Training Specialist I

Connections is seeking a FT Vocational Training Specialist I to support adults with disabilities at their place of employment.  This is a FT, benefitted position, and will consist of 37-40 hours per week.  The schedule is M-F, and hours will be approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Primary responsibilities will be supporting/assisting clients as needed to ensure all duties are completed according to site standards, providing personal care assistance as needed and supporting clients in developing vocational skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills.

FT Residential Specialist II

 Connections is seeking a FT Residential Specialist II to work with clients in our Semi Independent Living Services (SILS)department.  This position consist of 35 hours per week, and will qualify for our full benefits package upon eligibility.  The Residential Specialist II will be responsible for assisting clients as needed to support/teach independent living skills. Hours may vary throughout the week, depending on the availability of staff and clients, and will include a four hour shift every other Saturday and every other Sunday. 

PT Residential Specialist II

Connections is accepting applications for a PT Residential Specialist II to work between 22 and 28 hours per week with two clients in our Semi Independent Living Services (SILS) program.  The Residential Specialist II will work with clients to promote and teach independent living skills, provide personal care assistance, and support behavior programs as directed.  Due to the nature of personal cares involved, only female applicants will be eligible for this position.   This position will qualify for a limited benefits package including PTO and Paid Holidays.

PT Residential Specialist I

Connections is seeking a PT Residential Specialist I to work with a client in our Adult Foster Care department.  The schedule for this position is every Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and every Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The Residential Specialist will assist the client by promoting independent living skills, providing assistance with personal cares, and implementing behavior management plans as needed. 

PRN Bus Driver

Connections is seeking applicants who possess a Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement to act as a PRN (as needed) bus driver to cover for staff vacations/illnesses.  This position consists of transporting 20+ clients safely to and from their vocational sites, maintaining cleanliness of buses, completing pre- and post-trip paperwork, assisting clients in and out of buses as needed, and other duties as required.  Applicants MUST be at least 18 years old, possess a Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement, clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT physicals/drug screens. 

 

 PT/Summer/PRN Direct Care Staff

 Connections currently has part-time and PRN (as needed) positions available in our Residential and Vocational departments. There are a variety of shifts available, and schedules may include evenings and weekends. Direct Care Professionals are responsible for supporting adults with developmental disabilities in reaching their independent living and vocational goals through implementation of programming goals, assistance with personal cares, medication administration and overall well-being. One year of prior experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Qualified applicants for all positions must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED. They must have the ability to pass a DHS Background check, pre-employment physical, and Motor Vehicle Records check. Applicants should possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
