FT Vocational Training Specialist

Connections is seeking a FT Vocational Training Specialist (VTS).  This position is full-time (40 hrs/week) and qualifies for our full benefits package.  Hours for this position are M-F, 7:15 a.m. to 3:!5 p.m.  This position would entail working with a group of 2 to 5 clients in a hotel setting. The duties would be to work along side the clients doing housekeeping duties in hotel rooms, being their educator, motivator, and coach; helping them to realize their vocational goals.  The position would also entail driving our am and pm Dilworth Route (using a company van).  The right candidate for this position will posses excellent communication and problem solving skills.

 PT Vocational Training Specialist

Connections is seeking a Part Time Vocational Training Specialist.  This position will consist of 30 hrs/week with the following schedule:  M-F 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and will qualify for a limited benefits package.  This position could be full time if the applicant is willing to work e/o weekend in our residential sites. This position would entail working with a group of  2 to 3 clients in a grocery store setting. The duties would be to assist clients with bagging groceries, customer service, and occasional light front-end cleaning; being their educator, motivator, coach and helping them to realize their vocational goals.  The position would also entail picking up and dropping off the clients who work at the site.  The right candidates for this position will posses excellent communication and problem solving skills.

 

 

Part Time/PRN Residential Specialists 

Connections currently has  part-time and PRN (as needed) positions available in our Residential Services department.  There are a variety of shifts available, and schedules may include evenings and weekends.  Residential Specialists are responsible for supporting adults with developmental disabilities in reaching their independent living goals through implementation of programming goals, assistance with personal cares, medication administration and overall well-being.  One year of prior experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.  To apply, submit an application through this website, apply in person, or submit application/resume with schedule availability.

  Qualified applicants for all positions will be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED. They must have the ability to pass a DHS Background check, pre-employment physical, and Motor Vehicle Records check. Applicants should possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
