Male applicants are needed for PT evening and weekend employment in our Adult Foster Care and Semi-Independent Living Services programs to work 1:1 or with a group of male participants.
VOCATIONAL:
FT DSP II
The DSP II will work directly with the progam supervisor to ensure solid operations in the Vocational Department. Specific responsibilities will include covering a variety of shifts as needed due to vacations, illness and position openings, assiting with proper training of new staff, providing administrative support to the program supervisor as directed, carrying the on-call phone as needed, and working directly with program participants to ensure they are working toward their vocational goals. Hours for this position will vary, and applicants must be available to work shifts between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. as needed per schedule. This is a Full Time position.
PT DSP I
The DSP I will work with a group of participants at their place of employment. Specific responsibilities include encouraging and motivating participants to meet their vocational goals, ensuring tasks are completed according to site standards, assisting with completion of tasks as needed, completing tasks according to participant programming, and personal cares as needed. Hours for this position will vary according to the participant's work schedule, however will consist of 24 hours per week.
PT DSP I
The DSP I will work with a group of participants at their place of employment. Specific responsibilities include encouraging and motivating participants to meet their vocational goals, ensuring tasks are completed according to site standards, assisting with completion of tasks as needed, completing tasks according to participant programming, and personal cares as needed. Hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., however availability may be necessary to attend staff meetings, trainings and other required meetings.
PRN VOCATIONAL TRAINING SPECIALIST
The PRN Vocational Training Specialist will work on an as-needed basis, depending on participant work schedules. Specific duties will include encouraging and motivating participant in meeting vocational goals, ensuring tasks are completed according to site standards, assisting with completion of tasks as needed, completing tasks according to participant programming, and personal cares as needed. Ideal applicants for this position will be available to work as needed between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.
ADULT FOSTER CARE:
Connections is currently hiring for a variety of PT and PRN (as needed) positions in our adult foster care department. Specific responsibilities will include encouraging participants and teaching independent living skills, assisting with activities of daily living as required, managing behavior plans and responding to emergency situations as needed. Hours may consist of days, evenings, overnights and weekends.
Qualified applicants for all positions must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED. They must have the ability to pass a DHS Background check, pre-employment physical, and Motor Vehicle Records check. Applicants should possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
